Instant Family (2018)

“Instant Family” is a heartwarming comedy-drama film that tells the story of a couple, played by Mark Wahlberg and Rose Byrne, who decide to adopt three siblings from foster care. As they navigate the challenges of parenthood, they experience the joys and tribulations of forming an instant family. The film balances humor with heartfelt moments, highlighting the importance of love, patience, and acceptance in the journey of adoption.

This was such a surprisingly good movie with great acting, particularly by the kids. I found myself instantly wanting to watch it again as soon as I finished!

The Rebound (2009)

“The Rebound” is a romantic comedy film starring Catherine Zeta-Jones and Justin Bartha (Riley from National Treasure!). The story follows a recently divorced woman who moves to New York City with her two young children and unexpectedly falls for her much younger male nanny. As their relationship blossoms, the film explores themes of age, love, and self-discovery with humor and charm.

Matilda (1996)

“Matilda” is a beloved family film based on Roald Dahl’s classic novel. The story revolves around a brilliant young girl named Matilda, who possesses telekinetic powers. Despite her neglectful and abusive parents and the tyrannical headmistress of her school, Matilda uses her extraordinary abilities to bring justice and kindness to her life. Along the way, she forms a deep and heartwarming bond with her kind-hearted teacher, Miss Honey, who becomes a source of love and support in her tumultuous world, making it a touching tale of resilience, intelligence, and the power of nurturing relationships.

This is a classic film that has to go down in history of one of the greatest ever made. If you haven’t seen Matilda, make sure that it’s the next thing you do!
